Privacy Policy
What personal information we collect, why, where it goes, and how to get in touch about it. Last updated 26 October 2026.
Who we are
This policy applies to Your IT Managers Pty Ltd (ABN 47 206 773 768), referred to here as "we", "us" or "YIM". We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to deliver our services:
- Enquiries: name, email, phone number, company name and the details of your message when you use our contact form, email or call us.
- Essential 8 self-assessment: your answers to the assessment questions, plus your name, company, email, phone number (optional) and company size if you request your report.
- Website usage: anonymous or pseudonymous analytics data such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Clients: business contact details, billing information, and the information we need to support your systems, as set out in your service agreement.
You can browse the site without telling us who you are. If you'd rather not give us information, you can contact us anonymously or under a pseudonym, although we may not be able to help with some requests.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes.
- To deliver your Essential 8 report and follow up on it.
- To provide, support and bill for our services.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We may send you information about our services where you have asked for it or where it relates to an enquiry you have made. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our business. They process information on our behalf and only for that purpose:
- Formspree (United States) receives contact form and assessment submissions and forwards them to us.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC, United States) provides website usage statistics.
- Vercel (United States) hosts this website.
- Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Corporation) for email and business records.
Because some of these providers are based overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with recognised security practices and take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information consistently with the APPs. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure traffic. They do not identify you by name. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without them.
How we keep it secure
We protect personal information with the same controls we implement for our clients, including multi-factor authentication, conditional access, encryption in transit, and least-privilege access. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected or as required by law (for example, tax records), then delete or de-identify it.
Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing hello@youritmanagers.com.au or calling 1300 448 349. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
